Who are you, where are you from and what’s your mission at Jobspotting?
I’m Carolina from Milan, Italy. I’m a Business Development Manager, here to spread the word about Jobspotting and introduce as many customers as possible to our platform, ‘Wolf of Wall St.” style.
When you’re not working, where are you most likely to be found?
On my bike through through Berlin streets, or holding an expensive chai latte on the way to the cinema.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I definitely wanted to have the part of Velma Kelly in Chicago – the famous broadway musical. Funny to imagine a seven year old kid performing “Cell Block Tango” in front of her mom.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I have this weird habit in that I prefer to read the plot and all the spoilers of a movie before I watch it. I need to understand if I’ll like it or not. Annoying, isn’t it?!
Where is your favourite place?
I’m still searching for it, but definitely somewhere with a cliff, a broken bench, seagulls, nice flora and a cold sea. As soon as I find the right one, I’ll let you know!
What TV show, past or current, would you like to have a cameo in?
Even though I just started watching it recently – I finished all seasons in a month – I wouldn’t mind being Melisandre’s future daughter in Game of Thrones. This isn’t a spoiler! I don’t even know if a character like this exists, or will exist.
What do you love about Berlin?
I love the constant feeling of freedom that you breathe on a daily basis: at the flea market on a Saturday morning; cycling towards work (which says a lot); in a park barbecuing with friends; in a café full of vegan choices; on a rooftop on a Sunday evening – it’s rare to find this anywhere else.
What’s your secret talent?
I know the choreography of three Beyoncé videos. My favourite? The last part of “Countdown” when she’s on the chair – I’m a true fan girl!
Also, when I was sick for a week, I learned all the US states and capitals by heart. Now, I’m struggling with Africa!
What’s your favourite quote?
“I loved her against reason, against promise, against peace, against hope, against happiness, against all discouragement that could be.”
– The greatest Charles Dickens in Great Expectations.
Why do you like working at Jobspotting?
I really like the fact that everyone in our beautiful team takes everyone’s opinion into consideration, and are helpful so that you can improve in areas which usually don’t impact your daily tasks.
